October 31st is coming… If you looking for the perfect accessory to your Halloween costume this year why don’t you pick a pair of wild crazy Halloween contact lenses. These lenses are available in an assortment of designs and colors. Also wild crazy Halloween contact lenses are available for everyone even those who don’t normally wear glasses or contact lenses. Colored, glow-in-the-dark, alien, lizard, hypnotic, and blood-red vampire are only a few examples of contact lenses for Halloween, and are available in both prescription power and Plano for those who don’t need vision correction.
Halloween contact lenses come in a variety of unique and fun designs with names like: demon, angelic, banshee, hourglass, slither, spider web, flames, red dragon and more. They are made by many different manufacturers including Ciba Vision, FreshLook, and AcuVue.
For those that need corrective lenses wild crazy Halloween contact lenses are available in a wide range of power and base curves. This ensures that you can see well while having fun at the same time.
Special effect lenses such as Halloween contact lenses are sometimes called FX lenses, and as with any contact lenses you should follow the care and handling procedures recommended by the manufacturer to ensure good eye health. Sharing lenses or improperly storing or handling your lenses can result in eye infections and/or other eye diseases.
The manufacturers also suggest that you always use the proper lens solution when storing your costume lenses. They specifically recommend Alcon’s Optifree Express or Bausch & Lomb’s Renu solutions to ensure the sterility of your lenses when you are not wearing them. Finally, when you first start wearing colored and/or designed contact lenses you may experience minor blurry vision. This is normal and is caused by the colored lenses and should clear up quickly as your eyes adjust to the new lenses.

Halloween contacts must be treated like any other contacts as far as cleaning and disinfecting them and you must never share your contacts with others. You also should not sleep or swim while wearing your contact lenses and call an ophthalmologist immediately if your eyes become red or painful, or your vision blurry.
